Adapted Vehicle Hire Expands into New Head Office & Workshop
The UK’s largest supplier of adapted cars and wheelchair accessible vehicles, Adapted Vehicle Hire (AVH), has moved to new headquarters in West Drayton, Middlesex. Encompassing a state of the art adaptations workshop, the move to the new HQ was prompted by growth in the AVH customer base and range of services over the last 12 months.
“The main motivation to relocate was the need to find a space capable of handling the higher demand for vehicle adaptations and wheelchair accessible vehicles we have experienced over the last 12 months” explained Lorraine Farnon, Managing Director, AVH. “We have extended our customer base as a result of offering more services as well as making our services easier to book via the web. We aim to continue to build on this success and wanted to ensure we had the right facilities in place – which our new HQ and workshop provide.
“Our new site means we can provide convenient access to the hire of adapted and wheelchair accessible vehicles right across the South East. Our goal is to help the disabled and elderly and their carers maintain their independence, giving them the freedom to go where they choose, whenever they want. With larger offices for handling customer reservations and expanded workshop facilities we can respond to increasing demand for our services.”
AVH offers a unique selection of vehicles, from compact city cars to larger 4x4s and its state-of-the-art adaptations workshop ensures that every vehicle has the appropriate adaptations required for different disabilities. Plus all AVH delivery drivers are trained to provide detailed handovers, ensuring the customer fully understands the functionality of the vehicle. Complementing AVH’s network of 6 branches around the UK, the new HQ means customers in London and the surrounding counties can hire the vehicle to suit their needs for anything from a day, to a weekend or a few weeks.
“We know that lack of mobility is a real issue amongst disabled people and it’s particularly an issue if looking to hire a vehicle for a short period of time” continued Lorraine Farnon. “Having access to adapted cars and wheelchair accessible vehicles in convenient locations across the country that support disabled people and their family and friends can, however, make a real difference to their lives.
“Understanding the specialist requirements of disabled drivers and passengers is at the heart of AVH, and the quality of service we provide helps them enjoy the freedom to get out and about all year round.”
The new AVH HQ and Workshop is located at Unit 508 Stone Close West Drayton Middx UB7 8JU.
