Adapted Vehicle Hire News Updates: Survey launched to investigate mobility issues at Christmas
Adapted Vehicle Hire has teamed up with Constables Mobility to run a survey on mobility and disability issues at Christmas time.
The poll is designed to highlight how disabled people view mobility issues during the festive period, whether it’s finding a disabled parking space to do the Christmas shopping, getting served at bars and restaurants, or having their needs considered for the office party.
They are also asked if their mobility difficulties have ever affected their ability to visit family and friends.
Lorraine Farnon, Managing Director of Adapted Vehicle Hire, said: “Spending time with loved ones and taking part in celebrations at Christmas is so important, and it is part of our job to ensure everyone, no matter their ability, gets that chance.
“We want to speak directly to disabled people to find out if that is the reality, and potentially highlight where additional support is required. If you have a disability, we would like to hear your views about how this affects you at Christmas.”
To take part in the survey, please visit: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BW5KPC5 – with responses entered into a prize draw to win £50 of Marks and Spencers vouchers. The results will be published before Christmas so watch this space.
In other news, 37 NHS trusts have responded to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request admitting they charge disabled drivers to park, which one leading lawyer says could be against the law.
