Adapted Vehicle Hire News Updates: Survey puts disabled tourism under the spotlight
Adapted Vehicle Hire (AVH) has teamed up with national charity Tourism for All to launch a survey about travelling with a disability and to find out how holidays for disabled people could be improved.
The survey consists of ten questions and will provide an insight into the real views of disabled people about the accessibility of Britain’s tourist attractions and transport systems and how such factors can determine holiday plans.
Lorraine Farnon, Managing Director at AVH, said: “A break or a holiday, down to a simple day trip, is important to our lives and should be available for all people, regardless of disability.”
With London 2012 billing itself as the “most accessible games ever” and now the biggest Paralympic Games of all time just days away, Great Britain’s accessibility has never been under such scrutiny.
The survey asks respondents to give their experiences of access and facilities when visiting tourist attractions in Britain and aims to highlight the best and worst of accessible tourism.
If you are disabled and would like to share your views, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Click on the link to take part: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YTXKFWY.
