Adapted Vehicle Hire (AVH) is helping to support disability charities through its new and unique offering, Chari-link. Chari-link allows charitable organisations and associations within the disability sector the chance to earn from each hire made with Adapted Vehicle Hire.
“Our new service, Chari-Link, is great news for disability charities many of whom are facing a real strain with fundraising due to the current economic climate.” says Lorraine Farnon, Managing Director, AVH. “The service allows AVH to give back to charities that are doing a wonderful job in supporting disabled people, often with very limited resources.”
Chari-link builds on the traditional link swap practice and develops it into more of a relationship agreement. Charities and associations taking part in the scheme are given the facility to add a link to AVH from their website. Then any bookings made with AVH through that link see a ‘pay back’ to the charity of a proportion of the rental cost. There’s also a facility for customers who prefer to book car rental by phone to use a unique reference code.
When a booking is made with Adapted Vehicle Hire using either the unique URL or reference code, £2 per day is given to the charity upon completion of the hire.
“The benefits of this scheme to charities and associations are numerous” continued Lorraine Farnon. “If a charity has a use for AVH vehicles themselves, they can hire from us and effectively obtain a 2% discount. There is, also, no cap on how much the charity can receive.
“Another added benefit is that the linking of websites should increase traffic to both the charity and AVH websites. ”
